The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to announce that the #WiFi #Localization system designed and developed by #ELEDIA@UniTN has been #integrated into the #SMARTOUR #platform and it’s #online!
The #SMARTOUR Project is funded by the Italian Ministero Istruzione, Universita’ e Ricerca within the Program “#Smart #Cities and Communities and Social Innovation”. SMARTOUR has been ranked first in the #Cultural #Heritage track and has received a total funding of more than 12 MEu. The project aims at developing new technologies and services for improving the #visiting and #touristic #experiences within artistic and cultural cities and areas.
The #wireless #localization system provides indoor visitors’ position and tracking to SMARTOUR services such as the tourist itinerary recommender, the content management system, and the emergency management system. As part of the ongoing experimental validation activities (WP12), the localization system has been integrated into the #online #cloud using the most recent #continuous #integration and #deployment technologies such as #Kubernetes.
