The ELEDIA Research Center was honored to welcome Prof. Daniel Martínez de Rioja (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) for an inspiring seminar on
“Reflectarray Technology for the Next Frontier in Broadband Communications Satellites.”
His seminar explored recent advances in multi-beam and multi-frequency reflectarray antennas for geostationary (GEO) communication satellites in the K/Ka bands. He presented innovative approaches to replacing traditional multi-reflector systems with more efficient reflectarray-based antenna farms, capable of providing multispot coverage with fewer apertures.
