Course: Array Antenna Theory and Synthesis Methods (AATS)
Dates: 14 September – 02 October 2026 (3 weeks, 20 hours/week)
Teachers: MASSA Andrea, ROCCA Paolo
ECTS: 6
Website: https://www.eledia.org/eledia-unitn/course/2026-2027.LM.AATS.UniTN.TRENTO.IT/
The Master Course is taught in 🇬🇧️ ENGLISH and is offered
- On-site
- On-line (synchronous and asynchronous)
Video recordings, hand-outs, etc. of the lectures will be available off-line!
In this course, you’ll explore:
- The fundamentals of antenna arrays and their role in modern wireless communication and sensing systems
- How antenna arrays support advanced technologies in satellite, airborne, automotive, and monitoring scenarios
- The relationship between array geometry, excitation coefficients, and the resulting radiation pattern
- Sidelobe-beamwidth trade-offs through methods such as Dolph-Chebyshev, Taylor, and Zolotarev
Whether you’re interested in wireless communication, satellite links, automotive sensing, environmental monitoring, or advanced antenna design — this course gives you the theoretical and practical tools to understand how antenna arrays shape modern technology.
