With the increasing frequency of #rainfall-induced shallow landslides causing casualties and substantial #damage to #infrastructures, STRAINLESS offers a groundbreaking solution to #mitigate these #risks effectively.

Unlike traditional monitoring systems that often come with high costs and limited coverage, STRAINLESS leverages the power of low-cost fiber optic technology, making it accessible and practical for #widespread #implementation. The #inexpensive optic fiber, that is exploited as sensor, can be easily installed along long #landslides, #road #barriers, #buildings, and #bridges, ensuring comprehensive monitoring coverage.

One of the key advantages of STRAINLESS is its ability to detect #deformations and #break #damages in real-time. Thanks to the continuous monitoring enabled by #Wireless #Sensor #Network and #IoT technologies, any changes or potential risks are instantly detected and notified to the control center.
