The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to announce the IEEE AP-S Distinguished Lecturers Workshop, which will be held on January 26th, 2026, at the University of Genoa, Aula Conferenze (D3), DITEN, Via Opera Pia 11A.
This afternoon workshop will host a distinguished panel of IEEE Fellows and Senior Members to present and discuss recent advances in antennas, computational and applied electromagnetics, and next-generation wireless communications, spanning topics from multibeam and phased-array antennas to computational electromagnetics and emerging beyond-5G/6G scenarios.
Distinguished Lecturers
The program features the following invited speakers and talks:
- Dr. Giovanni TOSO (European Space Agency, IEEE Fellow): “Ongoing Developments in Multibeam Antennas”
- Prof. Satish SHARMA (San Diego State University, IEEE Fellow): “Design and Development of Flat Panel Phased Array Antennas for Wireless and Satellite Communication Applications”
- Prof. Levent SEVGI (İstanbul Technical University, IEEE Fellow): “From Engineering Electromagnetics to Electromagnetic Engineering: Teaching/Training Next Generations”
- Prof. Özlem ÖZGÜN (Hacettepe University, IEEE Senior Member): “Fundamentals of Computational Electromagnetics: From Basics to Mastery”
- Prof. Andrea MASSA (University of Trento, IEEE Fellow): “Beyond #G Wireless Communications towards the Metaverse – An Overview on the SEME from the Device-Scale to the System Planning”
Organized within the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Distinguished Lecturer Program, the event is addressed to students, researchers, and professionals interested in antennas, electromagnetics, computational methods, and future wireless systems.
We look forward to welcoming you to Genova for an inspiring afternoon of scientific exchange and networking.
