
The M3 Postgraduate Program (Master Universitario di II Livello) at the University of Trento is a one-year advanced training program designed to combine theoretical foundations, practical skills, laboratory activities, and professional experience in the field of Multifunctional Metamaterials and Metastructures.
The Program awards 60 ECTS, corresponding to a total workload of 1500 hours, and it is structured as follows:
👩🏫 Standard Course Lessons
210 hours of frontal teaching activities focused on the analysis, design, modeling, simulation, and validation of multifunctional metamaterials and metastructures.
📖 Individual Study for Standard Courses
808 hours dedicated to personal study, preparation, and self-assessment.
🖥️ In-Depth Seminars and Hot-Topic Tutorials
32 hours focused on advanced topics, emerging trends, and specialized tutorials.
🧪 Laboratory Course Lessons
75 hours of hands-on activities guided by lab coordinators.
📚 Individual Study for Laboratory Courses
175 hours dedicated to preparation, analysis, reporting, and self-assessment related to laboratory activities.
🏢 Internship or Stage
150 hours to apply the acquired knowledge in research, industrial, or professional contexts.
🎓 Final Exam Activity
50 hours dedicated to the individual activity related to the final exam.

Graduates holding a 4-year Bachelor’s degree obtained abroad are eligible to apply. If admitted, they will follow dedicated learning activities to align with the program requirements.
