The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to share a picture from the IEEE AP-S Distinguished Lecturers Workshop, held on January 28th, 2026, at the University of Trento, on a day marked by a picturesque snowfall ❄️.
The event featured a morning of high-level scientific exchange on antennas and propagation, covering topics such as multibeam and flat-panel phased-array antennas, computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic education, and advanced concepts related to transformation electromagnetics, including invisibility and beyond.
Distinguished Lecturers
The program features the following invited speakers and talks:
- Dr. Giovanni TOSO (European Space Agency, IEEE Fellow): “Ongoing Developments in Multibeam Antennas”
- Prof. Satish SHARMA (San Diego State University, IEEE Fellow): “Design and Development of Flat Panel Phased Array Antennas for Wireless and Satellite Communication Applications”
- Prof. Levent SEVGI (İstanbul Technical University, IEEE Fellow): “From Engineering Electromagnetics to Electromagnetic Engineering: Teaching/Training Next Generations”
- Prof. Özlem ÖZGÜN (Hacettepe University, IEEE Senior Member): “Magic World of Transformation Electromagnetics: Invisibility and Beyond”
The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Giacomo OLIVERI, IEEE AP/ED/MTT North Italy Chapter Chair.
We would like to sincerely thank all the speakers for their outstanding contributions and wish them a successful continuation of their IEEE AP-S Distinguished Lecturers tour in Italy.
