CHEN Yikai was born in Hangzhou, China, in 1984. He received the B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electromagnetics and microwave technology from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Since August 2011, he has been a Research Scientist with Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore, Singapore. He has authored or coauthored 1 book chapter and over 30 papers in refereed journals and conferences. His research interests include antenna engineering, computational electromagnetics, and evolutionary optimization in electromagnetic engineering. Dr. Chen serves on the Review Boards of many technical journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, the IEEE Antennas Propagation Magazine, International Journal of Antenna and Propagation, International Journal of Numerical Modelling, and Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Journal. He was the recipient of the 2013 National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China and the 2013 Sichuan Province Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in China.
