Abstract

A new method aimed at efficient near-field (NF) antenna characterization is presented. The measurements-by-design (MebD) mathematically reformulates the NF prediction problem within a Bayesian framework, which is independent of knowledge regarding the nominal/standard antenna or a specific probing setup topology. Bayesian Compressive Sensing (BCS) is used to provide a robust and reliable solution for NF estimation across various application scenarios.
