The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to share that the final modules of the International Summer School “Green Electromagnetic Spectrum: From Physical Limits of Information to Integrated Communications” were successfully completed.
Held in Hangzhou, China, from 23 July to 5 August 2026, the International Summer School brought together international and Chinese PhD students for an intensive programme exploring the integration of communication, sensing, electromagnetic engineering, and wireless power transfer for sustainable next-generation electromagnetic systems. Its broader vision was to contribute to the development of a zero-power, zero-blind-spot, and energy-self-sufficient digital world through the convergence of physics, information, and energy.
The final part of the programme combined academic activities with opportunities for cultural exchange and well-being:
– 29 July — Baduanjin and Dance-Based Mindful Movement
– 31 July–2 August — Surface Electromagnetic Engineering and Smart Environments
Prof. Andrea MASSA, Dr. Giorgio GOTTARDI
– 3–4 August — Megahertz Wireless Power Transfer Systems
Prof. Chengbin MA
These sessions provided valuable insights into the theoretical foundations and future technological developments shaping next-generation wireless systems, while fostering active exchanges among lecturers and participants.
We would like to thank the distinguished professors for sharing their expertise and all the students for their enthusiastic participation.
These activities offered participants the opportunity to broaden their experience beyond the core communication topics addressed during the first part of the International Summer School. The technical modules provided insights into advanced electromagnetic engineering solutions for smart environments and emerging wireless power transfer technologies, while the mindful movement session contributed to the cultural and interdisciplinary dimension of the programme.
We would like to thank all the distinguished professors and instructors for sharing their expertise, as well as all the students for their active and enthusiastic participation throughout the programme.
The International Summer School concluded on 5 August with the final evaluation and graduation ceremony, marking the end of an intensive and stimulating programme dedicated to the future of green electromagnetic spectrum technologies.
