
The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to share that Prof. Sotirios GOUDOS, director of the ELEDIA@AUTH NetNode and Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, delivered an invited talk entitled “Computational Intelligence for Antenna Design: State-of-the-art and Challenges” at the Artificial Intelligence, Neuromorphic Learning, and Quantum Technologies for Functional Materials (ANQFM) Workshop 2026, held in Thessaloniki (GK) from 1 to 5 June 2026.
In his talk, Prof. GOUDOS provided a comprehensive overview of advanced computational intelligence techniques for antenna design, highlighting the impact of machine learning, evolutionary optimization, and hybrid approaches in addressing complex electromagnetic problems. Particular attention was devoted to current challenges, including generalization capabilities, computational efficiency, and the integration of data-driven methods into practical engineering workflows.
The presentation fostered stimulating discussions among participants, contributing to the exchange of ideas across disciplines at the intersection of electromagnetics, artificial intelligence, and optimization techniques.
