We are excited to share the achievements of our #research<\/a> project #OWL<\/a>!

OWL, the #Opportunistic<\/a> #Wireless<\/a> #Localization<\/a>, is transforming indoor #localization<\/a> and #human<\/a> #activity<\/a> #monitoring<\/a> while prioritizing user #privacy<\/a>. Developed at ELEDIA Research Center<\/a>, our system utilizes wireless sensing technology, leveraging #commodity<\/a> #devices<\/a> and existing #WiFi<\/a> networks, eliminating the need for additional equipment.

Our machine learning methodology has demonstrated #exceptional<\/a> #versatility<\/a>, ranging from user presence detection to #high<\/a>–#resolution<\/a> #gesture<\/a> #recognition<\/a>. Notably, we recently presented our work on classifying four gestures with open-hand versus closed fist at the #IEEE<\/a> International Conference on Modern Circuits and Systems Technologies (#MOCAST<\/a>) in Athens, Greece.

This research collaboration involves ELEDIA@UniTN (Universit\u00e0 di Trento<\/a>), ELEDIA@TSINGHUA (Tsinghua University<\/a>), and ELEDIA@AUTH (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)<\/a>). Together, we are pushing the boundaries of wireless sensing technology.
