The ELEDIA Research Center<\/a> is pleased to share some remarkable results from the #EEB<\/a> project, a #European<\/a> #Community<\/a> initiative funded within the framework of PON 2007-2013 and the Italian #Smart<\/a> #Communities<\/a> cluster. The main objective of this successfully completed project was to significantly enhance energy efficiency in buildings and urban districts.

One of the activities that our dedicated ELEDIA@UniTN research team actively participated in is the development of #wireless<\/a> #localization<\/a> #technology<\/a> for #smart<\/a> #building<\/a> #management<\/a>. We are excited to present a live demonstration video showcasing the system in action. Our localization technology leverages #existing<\/a> #WiFi<\/a> infrastructure and #commodity<\/a> #smartphones<\/a> to achieve:
? Privacy-Aware Localization of Users (No Cameras)
? #Occupancy<\/a> #Estimation<\/a> for Each Room

By accurately determining the occupancy status of rooms and the precise location of users, we can:

? #Maximize<\/a> #Users<\/a>‘ #Comfort<\/a> (by learning and exploiting habits)
