We are pleased to share some achievements from our research project #OWL<\/a>!
The “Opportunistic Wireless Localization” (OWL) project introduces a groundbreaking technology that revolutionizes #indoor<\/a>–#localization<\/a> and #human<\/a>–#activity<\/a> #monitoring<\/a>, all while prioritizing #privacy<\/a> and #scalability<\/a>.

Unlike computer-vision approaches that encounter challenges in terms of privacy and difficult lighting or long-distance scenarios, the OWL system designed and developed by #ELEDIA<\/a> harnesses the power of #wireless<\/a> #sensing<\/a> #technology<\/a> to overcome these obstacles effortlessly. By leveraging the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, including standard #MIMO<\/a> #EM<\/a> signals from #commodity<\/a> #access<\/a> #points<\/a>, we have eliminated the need for any specialized hardware or wearable sensors. Furthermore, our innovative #machine<\/a> #learning<\/a> methodology has showcased exceptional versatility, extending from user-presence detection to high-resolution gesture recognition.
