{"id":5038,"date":"2021-09-30T01:03:56","date_gmt":"2021-09-29T23:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eledia.org\/eledia-unitn\/?post_type=event&#038;p=5038"},"modified":"2024-11-18T19:39:09","modified_gmt":"2024-11-18T18:39:09","slug":"microwave-imaging-and-diagnostics-theory-techniques-and-applications-3","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.eledia.org\/eledia-unitn\/sciencex_event\/microwave-imaging-and-diagnostics-theory-techniques-and-applications-3\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 ESoA Course on\u00a0&#8220;Microwave Imaging and Diagnostics Theory, Techniques, and Applications&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The exploitation of electromagnetic field data as a sensing tool paves the way to a number of interesting engineering applications including antenna testing and characterization, biomedical diagnostics, humanitarian demining, archeological prospection, through-the-wall imaging, non\u2010destructive testing of transport infrastructures and buildings, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This course, after reviewing fundamental equations and main difficulties of inverse problems in high-frequency electromagnetics, will focus on classical and recently introduced solution procedures and algorithms, discussing capabilities, limitations, and perspectives of both approximate and &#8216;exact&#8217; reconstruction methods.
