Thanks to the mathematical properties of ADSs, such arrays provide good radiation properties with far-field peak sidelobe levels belonging to an a priori predictable set of analytically-derived bounds. An extensive numerical analysis, including near-field simulations, is provided to assess the reliability and the features of the proposed design methodology for both linear and planar arrays.
