Such a global optimization approach demonstrated its effectiveness in solving complex two dimensional imaging problems. Therefore, it has been suitably modified for dealing with three dimensional geometries and integrated into multi frequency inversion schemes. Selected numerical results are shown in order to allow a preliminary evaluation of the reconstruction accuracy of the proposed implementations.
